Lucky Day in Jersey: Two BetMGM Players Hit Massive Jackpots Worth Over $5.2 Million
Oct 01, 2026
Record-breaking day for two online casino players in New Jersey.
October 3 was the day when two online casino players from New Jersey broke records. They both hit the jackpot at the casino sites of BetMGM, making their winnings to the tune of over $5.2 million — together, in one day only.
A single player at Borgata Online was able to make a $4 million life-changing win from a $10 spin on Bison Fury Megaways. Shortly, a player at BetMGM Casino also made a million-dollar jackpot as he/she quit the place with $1.2 million after betting just one dollar on Independence Pays. If there was a better way to say it, then it would be a real nice talk of how to turn a little money in your pocket into a fortune.
Angus Nisbet, Vice President of Gaming at BetMGM, said that the consecutive wins “you never know when” a big jackpot might hit are the proof. Besides, he pointed out that the two games in which the jackpots were hit are quite unique as they are local-only BetMGM casino sites products — not available anywhere else online.
In fact, both Bison Fury Megaways and Independence Pays are brainchildren of Entain, which is a co-parent company of BetMGM. The games are the components of The Big One, a progressive jackpot network which links different exclusive titles to form a giant prize pool.
Bison Fury Megaways visually follows American Wilderness and has six dynamic reels with more than 200,000 possible ways to win. Independence Pays is more of a flashy, patriotic kind of a vibe with red, white, and blue symbols decorating its five reels and ten paylines.
In October, these great wins were preceded by a streak of hefty payouts from BetMGM over the last several months. In the previous August, a single player in New Jersey went along with the records in a spectacular way resulting in a $6.5 million shock-of-the-jaw jackpot — to this day, the biggest in any legal online casino in the United States. After that, in September, a gambler in West Virginia took home more than $500,000 just from a 40-cent spin on Bison Fury.
BetMGM’s online casino is expanding rapidly and become a great choice for gaming players across North America. With more than 3,000 games and one of the biggest exclusive jackpot networks in the nation, it’s obvious that luck can come to players in the most surprising way.
