Irish EuroMillions Player Wins €63,328 as EuroMillions Jackpot Rises to €115M

Irish‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ EuroMillions Ticket Wins €63,328 as Bigger Jackpot Rolls Over to €115M

Thanks to one ticket, a EuroMillions player in Ireland has unexpectedly hit the jackpot of a decent sum of money. Although the main jackpot was still up for grabs, one lucky ticket with five matched numbers managed to bag a very nice prize that would be just fine with most people.

The numbers drawn were 10, 13, 14, 38 and 41, with Lucky Stars 6 and 9. A full jackpot was not scored, the amount of which had risen to €105,639,575. Thus, the prize rolls over again and is anticipated to reach around €115 million in the upcoming draw.

It was no jackpot winner, yet, still, a lot of players in Ireland had a game-winning night. National Lottery claimed over 57 thousand players won prizes in both the EuroMillions and Plus draws. The majority of those prizes were smaller ones; however, one ticket in Co Louth quite clearly stood out above the rest.

According to the National Lottery, the ticket for the €63,328 prize was purchased in EuroSpar on Bredin Street in Drogheda. That fact almost completely points out the winner, and s/he could be out there, simply unaware of the fact that s/he possesses such a valuable ticket. It is exactly the type of story which always makes people dig for their old slips, check their coat pockets, kitchen drawers, and car dashboards.

Summarizing the overnight event, a lottery spokesperson noted that a huge number of players across the whole country won prizes, among them the player from Louth who matched 5 numbers.

Since no one won the €105.6 million jackpot, the top prize will be available in the next round but at an even bigger value this time.

If one looks back, Ireland has had quite a few splendid EuroMillions wins, so this kind of excitement is really nothing new.

Back in December last year, an Irish player took a €20 million prize home, thereby adding his name to the list of major lottery winners in the country.

The focus is now on that still unclaimed ticket from Drogheda. This is not a jackpot winning ticket but nevertheless the fair sum of €63,328 has been won. Very good for one slip of paper, isn’t ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌it?
